Cyprus is the easternmost island in the Mediterranean Sea. This island has many archaeological sites, empire ruins, beaches, mountains, and valleys to explore. In the ancient city of Kourion, you will find ruins from life in Cyprus 2,000 years ago. There are Roman baths, an amphitheatre where tourists can watch classical plays, and a temple built for Apollo. Meanwhile, Omodos Village in the Troodos Mountains near Nicosia is charming with its cobbled streets, houses made of stone, and beautiful gardens. It's the perfect place to unwind with a glass of local wines (Mavro and Xynisteri) in restaurants, bars, and wine-tasting stalls. Can't decide whether to swim, paraglide, windsurf, waterski, or pedalboat on a white-sand beach during your medical vacation? You can do all those water activities at Nissi Bay Beach.
Cyprus was invaded by Turkey in 1974. This led to the division of the country into Northern Cyprus and Southern Cyprus. North Cyprus is under the Turkish Cypriot government while South Cyprus is led by the Greek Cypriot government. The capital of the country is Nicosia, which is the only remaining divided city across the globe. Since it is a divided country, you will find it hard to visit North Cyprus if you arrive in South Cyprus, and vice versa.
Exercise standard precautions for safety while in the country: Lock your valuables in your hotel room. Don't let others buy your drinks for you to avoid getting victimised by spiked drink crimes. If you plan to rent a car to drive around the country, remember to always stay on the left side of the road. Pay attention to the speed limits: 100 km/h on motorways and 80 km/h on other roads. LGBTQ+ are generally accepted by society because homosexuality was legalised in Cyprus in 2016.
Medical tourists in South Cyprus usually rely on tourist agency coaches, rented vehicles, intercity buses, and taxis to get around. In the north, transportation options are limited so it's better to book through tourist agencies and rent a vehicle.
The official language in South Cyprus is Cypriot Greek while it is Cypriot Turkish in North Cyprus. Other widely spoken languages are English, Russian, and Armenian.
An investigation of North Cyprus' social attitudes to fertility treatment revealed that aside from the incapacity to have children through natural means, fertility treatments are sought because many want to become single happy parents. Some of the European society participants in the study also expressed negative effects of having IVF treatments such as stress and depression due to unpredictable outcomes of treatment methods. Those who seek IVF treatments also experience stress from financial difficulties for additional costs such as medications and tests.

"I love Zora Health for their simple, transparent pricing. It was a relief not to worry about unexpected fees or hidden costs. They made the entire process stress-free and easy to understand, which allowed my husband and I to focus on what mattered most - my family's future."
"I had a preferred doctor overseas that my girl friends recommended. He is part of Zora’s clinic network, but I was interested in Zora’s support and perks. After speaking to Zora, they assured me I wouldn’t pay extra. Zora managed the whole process - from personalised guidance to answering my queries about legalities."
"Zora’s instalment plans were a true lifesaver. I was so grateful for their flexible and affordable options. I have been thinking about preserving my eggs as a form of “insurance” but didn’t want to pay a big lump sum upfront as I am saving for a house. The instalment plan helps me manage my finances better.”
"After failing previously, we were very anxious and were not sure what to expect. They guided us through the process and cared for us every step of the way. My treatment at the clinic was long, and sometimes it was emotionally draining, but having a fertility coach made us feel better and more prepared. As busy professionals, we appreciate the convenience of scheduling appointments through Zora. I have recommended Zora to all our friends."
